Rooted Words didn’t begin with a lifelong dream of owning a business.

In fact, becoming a small-business owner was never really part of the plan.

It began much more quietly.

An idea.

A journal.

A beautiful piece of stationery.

A prayer.

Then another idea.

We began imagining a place filled with beautiful journals, planners, specialty paper, pens, devotionals, Bible accessories, and thoughtfully chosen things that encourage creativity and reflection.

But the vision kept becoming something more.

We imagined a prayer wall covered with the prayers of people in need.

A beautiful old-fashioned post box filled with handwritten encouragement. We are gladly open to funding the postage if it meant positive Godly impact.

Someone quietly sharing a need.

Someone else being able to meet it.

People praying for one another.

Celebrating answered prayers together.

Giving when they have something to give.

Receiving when they are the one who needs help.

Ultimately, people gathering around a table for Bible study, journaling, creativity, conversation, and community.

And that is when we began to understand:

Rooted Words was never supposed to be just a store. It’s supposed to be an experience.

An interactive experience.
